TPF Raipur_Van Yatra

VAN YATRA

Terapanth Professional Forum Raipur Branch successfully organized a full day road trip, “Van Yatra” at a distance of 106 kilometers from Raipur at Kasarvahi on Sunday, 25th June, 2017 from 7:00 a.m. onwards.

Van Yatra was typically a whole day road trip to visit Ekal School in session with the opportunity to interact with the children, acharyas, villagers and Ekal Karyakartas.

The road trip started from Ram Mandir, Raipur at 7:00 a.m. with approx 50 people in a bus. While travelling, members played games, sung songs and ate refreshments. On the way, approx 74-76 kilometers from Raipur, members took a hault at a rest house for breakfast. They reached the village at 12:00 p.m. It was a very small village with around 25 houses. The villagers warmly welcomed the members with tilak, garlands and music.

Then the members went to the Ekal Schools to meet the children, acharyas and Ekal Karyakartas. Shri Chandan Jain, organizer of the trip is associated with this Ekal Vidyalaya since a long time. He introduced the members with the acharyas. The members interacted with the students. They asked the students various questions from different fields and the students answered them very well. In every correct answer, TPF members gave small prizes to the students in order to appreciate and motivate them. Nandita Jain, TPF member, taught few poems to the ekal students. The students also sung few prayers taught to them by their acharyas. The members found the students to be very active and intelligent.

Shri Chandan Jain then took a small session on Career Counseling. He emphasized on setting the defined goals in life and pursuing it with dedication for achieving the desired success in one’s career. He said that the role of parents is very crucial in giving direction to their children’s life. It’s the duty of the parents to take necessary steps in cultivating the cultural and ethical values in their wards. One should always stay away from drugs, drinks and other intoxicating things. He also spoke on the importance of early decision making in the career path of a child.

After that, CS Surendra Kumar Jain guided the children on Time Management. He said thatTime management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities especially to increase effectivenessefficiency or productivity. He highlighted the following steps to be followed in order to manage time.
·        Carry a schedule.
·        Any activity or conversation that's important to your success should have a time assigned to it.
·        Schedule time for interruptions.
·        Take the first 30 minutes of every day to plan your day.
·        Take five minutes before every call and task to decide what result you want to attain.
·        Put up a "Do not disturb" sign when you absolutely have to get work done.
·        Block out other distractions like Facebook and other forms of social media.

On way back to Raipur, the members also visited another Ekal School at Aalekhuta Village. It was overall an educational road trip and members enjoyed a lot.
